Our Center
White River Surgery Clinic is a comprehensive Bariatric
Program headed by Dr. John S. Lambert, M.D. Our coordinator will welcome
your phone call to our office and assist you with information regarding the
program. A package will be mailed to you, providing you with more information
and a questionnaire for you to complete regarding your medical history.
Following the return of the completed questionnaire, you will be given an appointment
for a consultation in our office with Dr. Lambert. At that time more detailed
information will be given to you, as well as time for an extensive question
and answer period with the physician.
If you decide to proceed, our office will verify specific and individual insurance
provisions. A letter of medical necessity, required by the insurance companies,
will be done through our office on your behalf.
Preoperative Evaluation
Physical examination and work-up will be done as an outpatient prior to surgery.
You will be instructed on details of the surgery and on details of
the hospital stay, as well as any possible complications.
Findings obtained from your medical history questionnaire and preoperative
work-up will be discussed with you.
You will be given advice of need for evaluation by another specialist,
if Dr. Lambert deems it necessary.
